So what does the Death and resurrection of Jesus Christ have to do with the Courtroom example?
God is the Judge.
Your sin is the Evidence.
You sin has been laid out against you as evidence of your guilt before God.
Then, Jesus Christ rises in the Courtroom of God and shows the Judge His hands and His feet which are a testimony to the fact that He gave His own life to set you free from sin and it’s power!
Jesus Christ is the One who paid your fine, so to speak!
Now, place yourself in this situation… would you refuse the offer to be set free or refuse it and instead accept your punishment?
Of course you could accept the just punishment for your sin…or you could receive the freedom that Jesus Christ made available to you when He gave His own life for you on the Cross.
Jesus Christ came for one reason: To set you free from sin!
God’s Love for you is so great He sent Jesus Christ to take your punishment… to take your place on the Coss!
