So, what about God?
Who is He?
What is He like
First, we know that God created all things!
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
This God is the only True God, and He’s revealed things about Himself that He wants all of us to know.
Three of these things are:
1- God is Love: 1 John 4:7-9 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God, and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. The one who does not love has not known God. For God is love. In this the love of God was revealed in us, because God sent His only begotten Son into the world that we might live through Him.
2- God is Holy: Psalm 99:8-9 You answered them, O Jehovah our God; You were a God who forgave them, though You take vengeance for their deeds. Praise Jehovah our God, and worship at His holy hill; for Jehovah our God is holy.
God is Light: 1 John 1:4-7 And we write these things to you so that your joy may be full. And this is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
God is Love and God desires man’s best.
God is Holy and God cannot look upon sin.
God is Light and God reveals to us what is evil and what is righteous, so that we can step out of the darkness and into His Glorious Power.
